We realise that not all juniors can compete at our club, until they get better! The all round championship concluded last night with Rheyansh taking out both the evening and the overall tournament. Terrific effort Rheyansh! Proving yourself as a very capable juniors who may win plenty of tournaments in the near future (and whose future rating will show considerable improvement). The top three standings were:

We are asking parents/guardians of junior players to sign the Junior Participation Agreement regarding junior players participating at the club. We would like you to sign to acknowledge the recommendation of the Committee that juniors have supervision during club events and also agree that juniors should not leave the playing venue until such time as they are picked up.
The juniors are an important aspect of our club, that meet Saturday morning 10 am during the school term. The junior calendar for 2019 is now published – please see it here.

This coming Saturday 13th May is the start of Tournament 3.
The past 10 weeks have been a hard slog for our juniors spread over 3 divisions in ‘all-play-all’ competition.  Congratulations to those with great stamina and skill who came out on top!

Tony Davis, the club’s Junior Director, has indicated that an a new venue and time is being planned as an addition to the existing Saturday morning Junior meeting. This would begin in term 1 of 2017. Stay tuned for further announcements and details.
