Ratings

All events are rated (club, state/national or FIDE) unless specified. Ratings help match players fairly and track improvement.

Venue & Tournament Rules

To ensure a great experience for everyone, please review the venue rules and tournament expectations before
attending.
Start times: Please arrive early; late arrivals may receive a default time penalty depending on the event rules.
Mobile phones: Must be switched off or set to silent and stored as per arbiter instructions.
Behaviour: Respect opponents, arbiters and venue staff. Parents should support a positive junior environment.
Fair play: We follow standard chess rules and fair-play expectations, especially for rated events.

Do I need to be a member to enter?

Some events are open to visitors; member pricing may apply for members. Check the event listing.

How do I register?

Most entries are via our registration links (Tornelo/TidyHQ). Each event card includes a Register button.

Can I request a bye?

Many Swiss events allow byes in certain rounds; see the event rules and contact the organiser early.

Are tournaments rated?

It depends on the event. The listing will specify whether it is club, state/national or FIDE rated.

What should I bring?

We provide boards and clocks. Bring a pen if scorekeeping is required, and arrive early.
