Championship and Reserves finalised (adults and juniors)

Congratulations to the adult winners: Rheyansh Annapureddy (Championship), Anirudh Krishnan (Reserves), and to the junior winners: Anjana Reddy Arumalla (Championship), Sumay Kothari (Reserves).

The 2022 AGM will be held next Tuesday 6th Dec at 7pm (party and prize giving, and resolutions), with the club re-opening on the 17th January.

With only 1 round to go, the leaders are becoming clearer in both of these events. Reyansh is half a point ahead of Tony and Cijo, while Anirudh is a full point ahead of Joemar. Please see attached the pairings for the final round of both tournaments.

Please note that the final round will be played on Tuesday 29 November (in a fortnight). Next week there is NO CHESS apart from the following catch up games in the club championship.

Club Championship Qualification and next few weeks

The remaining players will play the Reserves Championship (Swiss). This will be a very strong event, the winner achieving qualification into the 2023 club championship (if achieved outright).

  • 4 October – Club Championship + Reserves Round 1.
