Quite a few interesting games, Narelle and Bruce was interesting, Bruce’s Q and pawn winning over Narelle’s R and N. Daniel’s win over Dean, and Sergey drawing with Steven will certainly improve their rating next time they are updated. My game against Tommy was lost by me from about move 25, but I kept moving stuff around and avoided exchanges. Even on his last move of the game, I would have lost if Tommy had played any other move than the one he made, and I checkmated him – the only way I was going to win! Chess can be cruel sometimes!
It was unfortunate that there were 2 no-shows on Tuesday! Please let Steven know if you cannot play on game night, preferably the day before or earlier, so your opponent does not have a wasted trip.
